Student Oratory Help Desk

The Student Oratory Help Desk is a continuation and expansion of the Student Reciters’ Society “Hexameter”.

Recognising the growing challenges many people, especially young individuals, face with public speaking, we established a dedicated advisory space to tackle this issue. The Oratory Help Desk is a student-led initiative designed for anyone eager to enhance their public speaking skills, improve voice projection, and boost their confidence.

What we offer:

Practical exercises: focused on breathing, diction, voice projection, articulation, and nonverbal communication,
Stress management techniques: helping participants overcome stage fright and perform with poise,
Personalised advice: tailored to individual needs and goals.

Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, the clinic provides resources to help you develop effective speaking techniques and confidently present your ideas in any situation. The skills we teach aren’t just for the stage—they’re versatile and valuable in everyday life too.
